Why is my release appearing under the wrong artist name in a store or streaming platform?

Sometimes releases may appear under the wrong artist name, but this issue is usually easy to resolve. Here’s how to correct artist name errors:

  1. Submit a request through our support form.
  2. Select that you're writing about your release, then choose “Artist separation request or spelling mistake in stores.”
  3. You’ll be able to select multiple stores in your request. If the store you're experiencing the issue with isn’t listed, select “Other.”
  4. Be sure to fill out all required information (release title, artist name, UPC, affected store links, etc.) so we can pass it on to the stores accurately.

Stores receive thousands of these types of requests daily, so it may take a few business days for the correction to appear.
