Can I whitelist my user profiles on Facebook and Instagram?

Yes, you can request whitelisting for your Facebook and Instagram profiles to prevent your own music from being flagged, muted, or blocked when you use it in your content.

What is whitelisting?

Whitelisting allows specific user profiles (such as your artist pages) to bypass automatic copyright enforcement on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. These platforms use content identification systems to detect music and protect rights holders — but this can sometimes result in your own content being muted or taken down, even if you’re using your own music.

Whitelisting ensures that your content won't be incorrectly flagged when you:

  • Post your own music to your official artist accounts
  • Promote new releases using snippets or full tracks
  • Collaborate with trusted partners or team members who need to share your music

How to request whitelisting

To whitelist your profiles, contact LANDR Support and provide the following:

  • The URL of your Facebook artist page
  • The Instagram username (not the handle) associated with your artist account

Note: Your Instagram username is the unique identifier that appears after the final slash in your profile URL.
Example: In https://www.instagram.com/landrmusic/, the username is landrmusic.

Once submitted, LANDR will forward your request to Meta’s internal tools for processing. Whitelisting requests may take some time to be reflected across all content, so we recommend submitting them before a release or major content drop when possible.
