Why am I not getting paid for my Spotify streams?

In order to address the increasingly common issue of streaming fraud, Spotify no longer pays royalties for songs that have been streamed fewer than 1,000 times in the past 12-month period.

If you have stream counts for a song that total fewer than 1,000 streams in a given 12 month period and are not receiving royalties for those streams, this is why.

Note that this is on a per-song basis and not based on an artist's total stream count.
