When you release your music with LANDR Distribution, you allow LANDR to collect royalties from its network of music platforms on your behalf. This includes royalties for streaming, digital downloads, and the use of your music in video content, depending on your subscription plan. LANDR then pays those royalties to you without taking a percentage of your revenue.
The royalties that LANDR collects on your behalf are recording royalties, not songwriter royalties (also known as publishing royalties). You can collect songwriter royalties by registering with a performing rights organization (PRO) or other collecting society in your region. Learn more about music publishing royalties here.
In order to automatically divide your royalties between yourself and your collaborators, you can set up royalty splits. Learn more about setting up and managing splits here.
Note: LANDR collects a 15% commission on royalties if you cancel your LANDR Distribution or LANDR Studio subscription. However, even though your account is inactive, your releases will remain live on streaming platforms and in stores — we will never remove them unless you ask us to, or unless they are found to be in breach of our content policies.
