How do I credit my collaborators on my LANDR release?

To credit collaborators like featured artists, producers, or band members on your LANDR release, simply enter their names in the appropriate fields during the release process. LANDR automatically formats your credits to meet platform standards and ensures your release is accepted across all major stores.

Crediting featured artists

When releasing a track with a featured artist:

  • Enter your name (or your band’s name) as the Primary Artist
  • Enter the collaborator’s name in the “Featured Artist” field
  • LANDR will automatically format your track and album titles correctly for each store.

If every track on your release features the same artist, LANDR will update the artist credit at the album level to reflect that.

Crediting band members and accompanying bands

To maintain proper formatting, don’t list:

  • Both the main artist and their backing band separately in the artist field
  • Individual band members as separate artist credits

Correct: The Beatles
Incorrect: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr

Crediting producers or beatmakers

If you want to credit a producer or beatmaker:

  • Do not include their name in the track title or cover art
  • Instead, use the “Producer” field in the release wizard to add their name

This ensures your release complies with the formatting rules of even the strictest stores, improving your chances of smooth and successful distribution.
