Can I set a custom release date when releasing through LANDR?

Yes, you can set custom release dates for your music if you have a Distribution Pro subscription or any yearly LANDR Studio subscription. You’ll be able to do this when setting up your release in the release builder, where the option can be found in the fourth step.

We recommend choosing your custom release date well in advance, ideally 2-3 weeks ahead of time or more. This will help to account for possible unexpected delays in the release approval and distribution process, while also giving you time to promote your release properly.

This is also important for submitting your music to be considered for Spotify editorial playlists. Spotify requires that your track be submitted for playlists at least 7 days before your release date, but you must also account for the time between when you submit your release to LANDR and when it is approved for distribution. This is why at least 2-3 weeks is recommended.

If you don’t set a custom release date, your release will usually go live within 1-3 business days after it has been approved by the LANDR team. Each store will be different, and some stores can take a little bit longer.
