When you deliver a release to YouTube and Content ID with LANDR, YouTube’s Content ID service will automatically generate claims on videos that include your music. An active Content ID claim allows LANDR to collect royalties generated by that video for you and these royalties generated through this process will show up under Earnings in your account.
Sometimes the automated Content ID process can create claims on videos our users upload that include content they have distributed with LANDR. When LANDR maintains the Content ID claim on a video, the video description will include a “Music in this video” section that will link to your release on YouTube.
If your LANDR release generated a Content ID claim on a video you uploaded to YouTube, you have a couple of options:
- You can leave LANDR’s Content ID claim active on your video, which will allow LANDR to continue collecting royalties for you, when that video is viewed.
- You can reach out to us and request that we release the Content ID claim on that video
Keep in mind that we can only manage Content ID claims that are associated with your LANDR releases. If you would like an active Content ID claim removed from your YouTube video and the claim was generated by someone other than LANDR, you would need to dispute the claim directly with YouTube by following the instructions in this article.
