When you release to YouTube Music, YouTube will auto-generate something called an “Art Track” which is placed on an artist Topic Channel. These essentially serve as a placeholder for any Official Music videos on YouTube, and are automatically monetized by YouTube with ad placement.
There’s actually a great and simple way to claim the art tracks sent to YouTube when you release with LANDR. You will need to create a regular artist profile with YouTube. From there YouTube will be able to merge your art tracks with your existing account. It is important to note that your YouTube Artist Channel name must match your artist name.
To set up an official artist page on Youtube, you will need to send LANDR Support your YouTube Channel ID.
You can find your channel IDs in your advanced account settings on a computer or mobile browser by following these steps:
- Sign in to YouTube.
- In the top right, click your profile picture > Settings
- From the left menu, select Advanced settings.
- You’ll see your channel’s user and channel IDs.
